Mechanics B8 Option

Write now im signed to go infantry but i am looking into a mechanic mos as well. I know about the b8 option but what are the odds of me being an automotive mechanic over something like a generator mechanic? Also if i do choose mechanic is there a less chance of being sent to Iraq or wherever we are by then?

If you go mechanic or anything it depends on when your unit is sent is when you go. Atleast that is my understanding. As far as your first question, sorry I'll leave that to the more experienced members of the site. :D
