This happens every year! You'd think they would defer to a good old fashion BarBQue or Covered Dish Dinner?

You should look at it from their point, now they can be martyrs. I don't think they will ever get in with the real world. The longer I was in Iraq, the less I cared about them, cause they would rather stampede you then enjoy freedom. Must be "Ala's" way of population control.
