Somewhere during this time frame, my Dad flew corsairs ~~~ his favorite plane! I just didn't have it in my notes. Am sorry this is so long but I want to dedicate a USMC site to my Dad and would like to "speak" with anyone who may have known him. While I am at it, did any of you know Lt. Col. John Murphy USMC-Ret. (he and his wife, Alice, are my Godparents). John was in Japan during 1965-66 ~~~I believe.
THANK YOU for any help you can give me.
One proud Marine daughter,
Tudy

Good Morning! My Dad's name is Rex Wilson and he is alive, still as handsome as ever, ram-rod straight, and in fairly good health. I thank the Lord every day that we (sister) have both our parents with us. I thank the Lord you are still here also and pray that you are in good health. Your generation IS the GREATEST generation and the world needs more like you. Did you know my Dad, or maybe serve in the same place at the same time?

Thank you for replying.

Don't know you dad, but I did spend some time with the Wing. Atsugi in 60's, and Eltoro. VMF (AW) 542. You dad and I also possess the same last name. Great to be a Marine and a Wilson.

Karen,
Rex was my teacher at Grand Prairie HS and he was a great man and a awesome teacher. I learned more about electronics from Rex than I did in college. I'm sorry to here he died and wanted to let you know how much of an inspiration he was to me and it was an honor to know Lt. Col. Rex Wilson.
