Foss transferred to Ariz. care center
Souix Falls-Former South DakotaGov. Joe Foss who suffered an apparent burst aneurysn last month has been transferred from a Michigan hospital to a long term care center in Scottsdale, Ariz.
Foss, a top World War II ace and past president of the National Rifle Association, was visiting Beaverton, Mich. when he became sick.
He was moved on Monday frrom the hospital to Scottsdale, where he and his wife live.
Family members said Foss remains in a coma but that they expect the 87 year old's condition to improve.
Foss, who served as governor frfom 1955 to 1959, recieved the Medal of Honor for heroics in World War II
