SOI is based in Pendleton & Lejeune. Its been so long since I've gone over the specifics of it.

Hold on.. will update in a second. (i see you're online)

ITB is at both schools. Lejeune and Pendleton. Theres some good intel for you. I assume you'll go wherever the Corps wants you to. However it COULD be based upon which boot camp you go to. I'm not sure. If another Marine could clarify this, I would greatly appreciate it.

I'm pretty sure that it's linked to what bootcamp you go to. My brother said that they had one or two people from the East Coast in his class at SOI (He was at Pendleton), so you may want to look into it. If a couple were there, maybe there's hope for you.

unless you are gonna be in lav school ( wich is in Pendelton) then you go to infantry school closest to where you go to boot. at least, that's the way it used to be.

You will go to the SOI closest to where you went to boot camp, unless there are some other influences (Such as LAV school as mentioned, or possibly a family issue that would be better handled by your being closer to home) It is easier for the Corps (cheaper as well) for them to send you to the one by your recruit training location, so that is where you will go.
