I scored a 67 on my practice ASVAB... is that good? The recruiter didnt really say what average is. He said I'd get about an 80 on the real thing... How good is that?

The practice ASVAB, which only contains the verbal and math sections is known as an Enlistment Screening Test. This conversion to actual ASVAB is not totally accurate. You will mostly likely end up plus or minus 5-10 pts from there. The overall score known as a Qualifying Test (QT) score is irrelevent. Your line scores in the ASVAB determine guarantees and MOS eligibility. The QT only indicates the mental category you would fall into. Lines scores are derived from various portions of the 11 ASVAB sections you haven't seen.

By the way, a QT ranges from 0 to 99. You need a 31 just to be eligible to enlist. You are on par for scoring about what the majority of Marine Corps applicants will do on the ASVAB

50-55 is the average my recruiters said, at least.

When I took the Asvab four years ago, I got a 40. I need to take it again.

99 is the highest... and the recruiter said 35 is what you need to get into the marines.
I got the highs and lows, anyone got the average?

i got an 80 on the practice test, 95 on the asvab. i thought i did much worse, those damn fraction questions...

The average scroe on the QT for Marine applicants is 65-68. This puts most poolees in the Category II mental group. 66 percent of all poolees score above 50 on the ASVAB (QT). The average of all who scored above 50 works out to be 65-68 QT.

What's the GT?- my recruiter said a I got an Asvab score of 90 something, and a GT of 100 and something.

gt score can go higher than 99 asvab is the one that only goes to 99
yeah to my knowledge the GT goes much higher since I was told I scored a 120 on it.
and got a 79 on my asvab.

wow, it only goes up to 99? hehe I got a 96. Go me =)
