I can't tell y'all how many times I've heard "He's a good boy when he's on his med's." If the paramedics had gotten there 1st, since the subject was acting crazy with a knife in his hand they would have called the police. He was 27, and the father of 9 childrens, probably 9 different mothers as well. Many cops go by the adage, the 3rd times the charm.
Having delt with and having had to subdue many mental patients let me just say that they are very strong and they feel no pain. Police are very well trained in dealing with these types of people, they also have the right not to be stabbed. This guy had a long history of physical assault, recently he had put a gun to the head of his girl friend.
The common occurrence in almost all recent police shootings is that the subject either fights the police, or comes at them with a deadly weapon.

Absolutely.....the law says, you cannot pull a knife on someone and walk toward them. It doesn't say, unless you are mentally impaired.
How about his mamma should of told him stop please Wallace drop the knife Wallace! instead telling the popo don't shoot him he's off his meds we didn't give him today or yesterday for that matter!.......9 Kids at 27 with mental problems! WOW ! Somebody should have kept him home for the sake of society?......Now his mama gonna be rich cause she got a lawyer faster than a funeral director!......And i would wager none of those nine will see a dime!

People really should have to pass some kind of test before they are allowed to procreate.
It's also easy to tell who the people are who've never been in a gun fight (probably never even held a gun in their hand), as they're the ones talking about how the police should have shot him in the leg.

We were taught to win their hearts and minds. One in the heart, one in the head.
Cops are taught to never ever fire warning shots or wounding shots. When a cop shoots he's doing his/her best to kill that person. Anything else, the cop missed.
