He fell at Bunker Hill
Where a cannon took his knee
He fought on from the ground
So to raise his children Free
He fell at Appomattox
Cut down by musket fuselage
He fought on upon the bloody ground
So no man would be a slave
He fell in Beaulieu Wood
Where yellow gasses seared his lungs
He crawled through muddy trenches
Where for Freedom he once had stood
He fell in Tarawa
In front of the rising Sun
Though wounded to the point of death
He fought on for his unborn son
Who fell in Vietnam
On some God forsaken Hill
After taking the baton of Freedom
From a Korean Veteran's will
He fell in Afghanistan
from a road side IED
Fighting to keep the people safe
From Islam's Insanity
Now He may have to fall right here
To keep this Nation Free
For enemies have burrowed deep
In our schools, our news, our State
He will fight for all those gone before
Not for hate but Freedom's Light
He will fight so others might Live on
In Liberty ... born of all their sacrifice
