Chances of getting 0231 as my MOS?

Hello,
I am signing up next summer for the Marines because I will be eligible enough to enlist, but I want to have 0231 as my MOS and later move on to 0211 when I meet the requirements. I know that a lot of things can change in more than a year but I was an idea kinda of my chances of getting this MOS since its not a guarantee in the Marines for Active Duty. I really can't think of another MOS I would want to do than intel. So what are my chances of receiving 0231 to me ?. Thanks.

And please don't say to join the army then because I want to be a Marine and only a Marine.

You can be any MOS to lat move to 0211 and you might have a slight advantage if you are an 0231. The only way you can guarantee an MOS is if you are reserves. You can get an Intel contract that will guarantee you an 02xx or 26xx I believe. Take the DLAB and score high on the ASVAB, that will open more opportunities for you when you decide to enlist. Your chances of getting 0231 are better than 0261 because there are more billets. Does that answer your question? Do you have anything that would make you ineligible for a clearance?
