Hello, I have a heart murmur and I have a disease that is completely harmless at this point. I was told from the point of birth that I have moderate pulmonary valve stenosis.

It's caused me no problems physically at all my doctor always told me to be in sports, I never needed medicine for it or any treatment at all it went away after I was 1. The only thing is it left me with a different sounding heart beat.

Most doctors say it's so faint that they actually have to search to hear it. My question is should I get the waiver before I go to MEPS or see if I get through?

you'll have to disclose this to your recruiter, I don't believe this is waiverable either. Something like this as faint as it may be could rear it's ugly head with high levels of stress and strenuous physical activity. Which will be every day over a Marine Corps career.

The Corps isn't going to take a chance on your life.

All valve stenosis is DQ. I dont know if it can be waived but I doubt it.

I know for a fact it cannot ( nephew ) DQ, non-waiverable.
