Well, my first choice was the Marines, but I was told its hard to get waivers from them. I tried to enlist in the NG with hopes of getting a waiver for my hearing. It was denied and I'm sure it will continue to be denied. I wanted to attend college and rotc classes and be an officer in at least 4 years time. I don't know if its possible in the Marines, but how often do Marines give out waivers for medical reasons such as hearing? Also, my hearing loss in my right ear is not from my doing. Birth defect that I was born with keeps my ear lobe shut. When I was younger, I had multiple surgeries and I had the option of getting it open to be able hear out of it but the doctor said there was a chance of injury, I was only about 10, so my mother answered for me and said no. So, what would be my chances of getting an actual waiver?
