What's the deal with MOS 0321?

I know that 0321 is Reconnaissance Marine. I just wanted to know what you have to do to get into BRC and essentially 'try-out'. Can you do this right from boot camp? Do you volunteer at infantry school? Do you have to be of a certain rank? Do they have to personally request you?

What's up with it? I've read so many varying answers. I'd like something straight to the point and 100% correct.

With us getting out of afghanastan you'll be lucky to even get a chance to try out recon and sniper programs are the first to get cut during a draw down. So I'd worry about getting contract then getting to and passing recruit training before you worry about the ins and outs of recon.

I have my 0331 contract already and ship date for it. I also understand what you are saying. Would I be capable of getting a UZ contract in this time? Is it probable?
