Hey Marines.

My question is about running, because I'm working on that as of right now. When you get blisters on your feet what is done to treat it or fix it? How is this issue approached in boot camp ?

Use some mole skin, and carry on.

Blisters are caused by wimpy feet :) poor fitting shoes/socks, the running surface and a bunch of other variables. It's probably something every Marine deals with at some point in time, but it's not a life ender. But it's best to do everything you can to protect and treat your feet.

Good luck.

In bootcamp, blisters are treated by corpsmen. Normally, they clean the affected area with an antibiotic to prevent infection and then cover with mole skin. After your feet are toughened up some (caulloused), you shouldn't get blisters as long as your running shoes/boots fit properly and you change out your clean/dry socks often. You may get blisters with your new boots until they are broken it which won't take long.
