I turn 17 the August before my junior year so my entire junior yr I'll be 17. I'll be able to enlist with my parents consent but I would get a HS diploma for another 2 years. You can only be in DEP for 365 days do how would that work? What should I do?

Thank all of y'all for yalls service.

-Marine (big '03) wannabe.

Stay in school and get that diploma...

The United States Marine Corps will still be here when you finish school.

Speak with a Recruiter.

He can't, Rocky. The kid is presently only 14.

Future, I refer you back to the appropriate responses you receiving in your Dying to be a Marine questions.

Also, go to the Ask a Marine forum and read site rules. The time of your post is 1:22 P.M. which inidicates during school hours, which is a site rule violation.

In addition, when you post on Ask a Marine forum, you do not refer to Marines as ya'll and yalls. If you want to thank Marines for their service, please call them Marines.

WHEN you reach the age of 17 and if you are a Jr. in high school, I do not know what benefit there would be to Dep. Number 1 focus is school. Number 2 is grades. Number 3 is staying out of trouble, no tatoos, etc.

When you turn 16, then you can speak to a recruiter about your goals.
