Real age limit?

I know there's a thread about this but I'm still confused.

What's the real age limit to enlist in the Marines? I just turned 28 a week ago by the way.

I called a recruiting office yesterday and I was told I wasn't eligible because I'm 28 but the official USMC website says "Has not reached 29th birthday at enlistment"

So which one is it? Could the recruiter I talked to be wrong?
