So i've been trying to enlist in the marine corps for a while now. I was talking to a recruiter, I filled out a form for MEPs, and he also was trying to schedule me to take the asvab. I was told that I needed to score a 50 or higher and i need a waiver, because i have a Dwi on my record. Well about 2 weeks ago he called me and told me that he cant get me in to take the asvab, because they arent taking in Marines at the moment because the war is over, which i understand. He told me he was going to contact me whenever there is an opening to take the test. Now i dont know if its just like a sugar coat kind of thing, that he doesnt want to tell me that i cant join or is i should wait. I was really excited to join ive been wanted to join for awhile, but now it just lowered my spirits. If anyone can help on insight or advice, it would be really helpful. Thank you
