Ive already put in several posts here regarding my future choice of enlistment versus officer route, both routes have pros that I am looking for. Here is another question; I was thinking maybe after college I would enlist as a grunt and get a deployment down as quick as possible. After that, I would try and attend OCS. The reason is because i want some experience under my belt before commissioning. Is this worth it? Thanks

It looks like you've already asked this question, just worded it differently.

Experienced Officer

There's nothing wrong with gathering information, but you haven't even enlisted yet, and you have a whole lot to get through before you can even consider putting in a commissioning package......boot camp, MCT, MOS school and your first duty station.

Question regarding the Mustang route.
