I'm 19 I'm looking to join the marines but I didn't graduate highschool. I was one credit short. I don't have a ged. I do have 21 college credits. I was able to get into a community college by just taking their entrance exam. I was wondering if this was enough to get in or what?

According to our resident recruiter, Afranziaa, once you get 15-college credits (level 100 or higher), you are considered to be Tier One academically. Lack of GED or HS diploma notwithstanding. Of course, the more college credit you have, the better it looks.

When I came in, I had a GED, but also more than 30 college credits. So my first 15 went towards making up for my GED, and the next 15 allowed me to ship on a PFC contract.

More credits the better!
