My recruiter told me that the contract that I will be going into is AF. Now I didn't sign that contract yet, I am still on an open contract. I happened to come along this site and read threw many topics about MOS', but they were all numbers and such. Did some searching, and cant seem to figure out what my contract code would be. I was told I will be riding a helicopter securing down cargo and such, but that sounds like a ****y job. Anyone have some insight for me?

All enlisted and officer Marines are assigned a four digit code denoting their occupational field and specialty.
Occupational Fields (OccFlds) are identified in the first two digits and represent a grouping of related MOSs. Job codes are identified in the last two digits and represent a specific job within that OccFld.

It's a better job than you might think. Crew chief, basically, and they do FAR more than 'secure down cargo'.
