I am currently putting together my package to apply for PLC for this upcoming summer. My OSO seems optimistic about my chances for admittance, but I'm concerned about my GPA. My profile fits something like this:
- 20 Yrs old, current Junior at SMU
- 2 years played linebacker at SMU
- Captain of 3 Varsity sports in HS
- GPA: 2.6
- SAT 2180
- PFT 250 (but I have a time to improve before submitting)
- 2 summers working as a Nike intern in Oregon
- Currently have a job at Nike
- LOR from SMU football coaches, HS football coaches, and employers/professors, all strong
- Social Chair of my Fraternity (Phi Gamma Delta)
- Clean record, other than a few traffic tickets
I think I have a well rounded package, but I'm very concerned about my GPA after reading a lot of the Q/A about admittance standards. If anyone has any insight to my chances, it'd be greatly appreciated.
