I recently spoke to a local recruiter about joining. He said the only way I can get in right now is through the Reserves then try and go active from there. I am smart enough too know that it is not easy to switch over. My question is: Are the Marines that full on active duty that they do not need any more Marines (said i would have to wait like a year to get in)? I am trying to go active 03xx, but if I absolutely have too I will go 0311 in the Reserves and try to switch over eventually. Will the new fiscal year help me out going active? Even though he said he couldnt contract me until October even for the Reserves. Sounds too me like they just don't want to do the work, considering they said they were closing up shop until October due to filling their quota I guess. Had an appointment today at 1600 but the doors were locked and no one picked up their phone. Willing to travel outside of New England if need be. Thank you for any information.
