He told me to bring my documents, but I don't have my birth certificate, it was lost during a move. Pretty sure my high school has a copy. Will this be a significant problem?
Also, is there anything I should know going into this? What to expect and what to do?

Ok...you may have to send a request to the state/city your were born or something to get your current birth certificate.
My wife had to do this but I don't know where she inquired.
Should be about 15-20 bucks.
'What to expect'...at this juncture...prepare yourself to expect the unexpected and learn to *adapt and overcome* if I may use this cliche.
It will be the challenge of your life so keep your mouth shut, eyes and ears open, give 110% every day and lastly....don't embarrass us weed hopper.
