Hello,
my name is Carlos this is my first post. I am from California (bay area)
let me start with saying that joining the Marines has been in my head for the past two years. I'm 15 currently and have been preparing to join. still today i'm not so sure i still have the drive i did to do so from the beginning of this year however.
shall i get on with it?
im confused with the deployment of a Combat Engineer or any other Marine for that matter. i've been reading online that you get deployed 7 months and come back for 12-14. this doesn't exactly seem right, im not looking to join the Reserves, im looking to do Active. so how long are you in say Afghanistan and when do you come back? i know it varies with everything so let me help you help me.

I am signing for 1371 Combat Engineer
no children
no dependents
I'm currently doing a project on my career choices after high school, its due tomorrow :p . so i will be asking more questions as they pop up.
