Hey Marines,

As of now I'm currently a senor in High School and for all my years as a student I have been on the football team. My Freshman year of High School, I was playing in a game and tore my ACL in my left knee...(Funny how EVERYONE blows their LEFT out) So I guess my point for this thread is; Has any Marines tore their ACL? Has it affected you in anyway? I've asked this one time and someone said MEPS has to check it out. I can do anything and everything normal just like you. My knee never bothers me and i feel like its a 110%. Is there any rules about having skrews in your knee? I just really want to know if anyone has been declined an MOS or from actually enlisting from having knee surgery on their ACL. I'm looking into anything 03xx if that might help?

Thanks. :flag: ~BJ

Read This Before Posting In Ask A Marine!!!!

There are no doctors frequenting this website. If you have a medical question that hasn’t already been answered by searching the forums, you’ll have to contact a recruiting office. If they cannot answer your question, you may be directed to a medical representative from MEPS.

Again, read that one carefully. We are Marines (and a few Corpsman). We are not doctors. Medical questions will usually be answered by someone cutting and pasting a section from the about.com website.
