Are doctor notes good enough?

I'm enlisting in the Marine Corps and have 2 issues to tell MEPS about. My recruiter said he is going to submit info on my issues before I go. I have notes from my doctors about both issues, explaining what happened, what was done to me, and my prognosis. Are those notes enough for MEPS or do they want all my medical records too? I'm only wondering because it will take months to get them. So are the letters enough?

Depends on what the 'issues' are. If they are something that needs to be waivered...(likely so based on what you said...) then the notes probably won't be enough.

The issues are an outpatient surgery I had in January 2011 and a minor head injury in August 2010.
