I have read a few posts about this MOS before I decided to ask a question, just so I would not waste anyones time and ask a pre-answered question. I am leaving for boot soon and my MOS is listed as an Embarkation Specialist, I was just curious about a couple things:

Where it my job school if i'm from Oregon?
How long is job school?
I heard I get to drive some pretty legit vehicles, if so, what kind?
I'm not lookin for a "fun" job, but a job where I can help several Marines thus gaining respect and not bein a stupid POG. Is this the right job for that?

Any answers help, thank you for your time.

bwahahahaha...

I can't answer any of your questions but the last one. Any Marine who isn't 03/infantry is considered a "stupid POG", especially to the infantry community.

Well that sucks...haha. I might go active duty as soon as I can then. What MOS are you?

Active duty or reserve, if your MOS isn't 03xx, you're a POG. Don't worry about being a POG, to each his own. Concentrate on boot camp and then learning your job to the best of your ability. If you're good at what you do, you'll earn respect.

Ok thank you. I just want to serve my country the best that anyone can. I leave for boot in 14 days and 10 hours! Can't wait.
