How does your MOS get picked?

I picked the 04XX Logistics field and i was wondering what are the odds of getting the MOS that you want?

Do you just pick a field and the Marines just randomly select what MOS your doing in that field? Or do you actually get a say in what you want and then they select what MOS you're doing?

Exactly what you said. You pick a field, they pick the specific MOS.

Thanks for the response. I just thought you got to request a MOS after MCT even if they gave you a different mos.

Looks like i gotta pick a field where ill like everything in it.

You could try, but its always "per the need of the Marine Corps"
