HILL, VA. (Feb. 14, 2007) -- Marines assigned to the Combat Logistics Battalion 22 security platoon gripped their M240G 7.62 caliber machine guns with strong focus and intensity during a convoy assault course training evolution despite the frostbitten temperatures aboard Fort A.P. Hill, Va. According to the battalion’s Commanding Officer, Lt. Col. Mark Hollahan, the activity ran smoothly, and he has observed the gunners learn to hit their targets accurately and dependably during the training cycle. A Marine with Combat Logistics Battalion 22's security platoon loads 7.62 caliber rounds into his M-240 Golf machine gun aboard Fort AP Hill, Va., Feb. 13. The Marines with the CLB-22 security platoon were conducting a convoy live fire exercise designed to engage targets while on the move and will use the training in their upcoming deployment with the 22d Marine Expeditionary Unit later this year.
