Our History

The initial establishment of the Force Recon Association (FRA) began in December of 1979 and was officially created as a legal entity on September 21, 1989 in the state of California. Our mission is to develop, foster, and maintain the ideals, camaraderie, and professional standards of both current and former members of the United States Marine Reconnaissance community.

The Force Recon Association is the oldest existing veterans organization dedicated to the service of Reconnaissance Marines and Sailors
