Band of Brothers Webring Information
Leatherneck.com | Ring Hub | Random | Prev | Next

Click on the banner above to add your site to the #1 Marine Corps Webring.

In order to qualify for this ring, your site must be dedicated to the Marine Corps. You may have other topics on the site, of course, but the main content of the site must be the U.S. Marine Corps.

Your site must not contain anything contrary to the laws of common decency. No commercial pages will be considered. The owner reserves every right to accept, reject or terminate any submission.

The URL you sign up with is the URL the ring code must be on. If it isn't, the Automatic Ring Checker will suspend your site. When you've corrected the error, you can email me to let me know and I can reinstate you, or you can wait until next Saturday when the Automatic Ring Checker checks again.

If you would like to join this webring, follow these instructions EXACTLY. Read all the instructions before you get started so you won't miss a step. When you click on the 'Join' link or the image in the ring panel, a new window will open so you can keep referring back to this page while you go through the registration process.

  • Bookmark this page because you'll probably be coming back to it.
  • LEFT click on the Band of Brothers Banner up top to go to the Get Started page. Read the instructions you'll find there (the page will open in a second window). Click the Get Started button to get to the add site form.
  • Complete the form, then click the Next button to go to the Review and Submit page. Check all the information, and if it is correct, click the Submit button. If it is not correct, click your browser's Back button to go back and correct the data. If you click the Cancel button, you'll go back to the ring's Hub page.
  • You will shortly get an email that contains your site information. It looks kind of like this:

    Congratulations,

You have submitted your site to the Ring titled \"Band Of Brothers USMC.\" The information you submitted is:

    Site Title: Your Site Title
    Site URL: http://www.yoursite.com
    WebRing ID: yourname
Site ID: 3 The RingMaster has been notified of your request to join the Ring and will notify you of their decision and what actions, if any, to take next.
Meanwhile, you may want to manage your site information and the RingMaster may have special requests, like placing navigation code on your site before being approved. To get the navigation code and to view/edit your site information go to:

    http://X.webring.com/wrman?ring=usmc6075&id=8&edit
The Site Title will be the title you entered, and the Site URL must be the URL on which you plan to put the ring panel. The WebRing ID is your own WebRing ID, and the Site ID is the ID number assigned to your particular site. No one else has this number, and if someone else copies the code from your page, they'll never see a single visitor through the ring because all the pointers will be to YOUR URL, not to theirs.
  • Go to the designated URL. Be sure it has YOUR ID number in it, not the number 3 that is shown in this example.
  • If you need to edit your ring profile, copy this url into your browser's location bar:

    http://X.webring.com/wrman?ring=usmc6075&edit&id=

Add your ID number to the end of that URL and you'll go to your personalized editing page.

    Good Luck and SEMPER FI!
