Hell no it isnt. Death still takes arround 10 years these days, so not only do you sit on your ass and do nothing, you also are sweating bullets trying to apeal the sentence. When you finnaly do make your last walk you will be ****ting yourself with fear.

Death is way worse than 3 hots and a cot for life.

No fair trial? What about Gitmo? That doesn't sound like your usual argument?

That is typical illogical liberal thinking. If life imprisonment is 10x worse, wouldn't it be more humane to execute him then? As far as I'm concerned, treason is a capital offense punishable by death. That is the sentence that should be imposed and carried out if convicted. Anything less is a travesty of justice.

I've been in Egypt and dealt with their police and military. When it comes to protecting the ruling government (whatever you think of it), they don't play games. However, in Egypt, just like the US, being sentenced to death doesn't mean the execution will happen. The government there likes to commute death sentences to life in order to show "magnanimity."

For that matter, they don't play games enforcing simple military discipline either. I got a chance to see an Egyptian military brig. The WORST American jail is high living compared to that place. Two weeks there has to equal two years in an American brig for misery. Visualize a medieval dungeon and you're starting to get there.

I don't know what their regular prisons are like, but if they're anything like a military brig, execution could indeed be a mercy over life imprisonment.

Treason is the only crime address in the Constitution. The problem with “Life Imprisonment without parole,” as I see it, is some bleeding heart will come along and say something like, “He was young and didn’t know what he was doing,” and the clown gets off. A sentence of death is most appropriate, reviews immediately by the U.S. Supreme Court, and if approved carried out within 30 days of sentencing. It might give those whom aid and abet the enemy a tad more food for thought before becoming turncoats.

Thumbs down

Traitors are to be sentenced to death. Save the bullets, save the needle! Hang them high as an example that these actions will not be tolerated.

Poll

I feel if a traitor has has been guilty by a jury of his peers. I feel he or she should be given the death sentence.

It's only cost $7.00 for one 308 cal. round. That's much cheaper than the millions of dollars to let them stay alive and complain about anything that suits their needs.

Treason is serious! Our founding fathers knew it. MANY innocent lives are at risk ....ie. the security of our country... This is no small deal! SOMEBODY protect us women and children, please.

Mrs. Shipman
Thankful for the men who do faithfully serve!!

I completely agree. Our state rep. recently sent us all a note to alert us that a sexual offender is now one of our neighbors. I do NOT feel better knowing that someone thought that he is OK to be let loose !!
