A Portland activist and Black Lives Matter (BLM) supporter on Friday called for the “abolition” of the whole of the United States.

During the 50th consecutive day of protests outside the Mark O. Hatfield Courthouse in Portland on Friday, a person named Lilith Sinclair, who described herself as an “afro-indigenous non-binary local organizer,” called not only for “the abolition of the militarized police state,” but also for the “abolition of the United States as we know it.”

As the crowd cheered and applauded, Sinclair pointed out they were “standing on stolen land” and must make “land acknowledgments.”
Sinclair describes herself as a “Black and Indigenous queer, non-binary femme sex worker” and identifies as “AFAB,” which stands for “assigned female at birth,” according to The Blaze.
Sinclair has also participated in the Occupy ICE camp in 2018 and has talked about a “global uprising against oppressive structures.”
“I think it’s apt that we are looking at a global uprising against oppressive structures during the month where we celebrate the anniversary of another uprising—another movement to not just ask for but to demand our rights,” Sinclair told the Portland Mercury last month.
After the rally, some protesters returned to their usual violent ways and could be seen carrying katanas to a supposedly “peaceful” anti-police protest and setting off fireworks and smoke bombs
