Exclamation Accused of Being Bogus Marine Because I Was Issued White Skivvies

I landed on the Yellow-Footprints at P.I. on 11 January 1968. I have these ****birds from another forum who are trying to discredit me, saying that I gotta be bogus 'cause I state that I was issued white skivvies. They're saying that that is a giveaway, 'cause Marine skivvies are green. Anyone here issued white skivvies during the '68 TET offensive? And when--and under what circumstances--did the skivvies become green (again?)?

The Corps didn't switch to green skivvies until sometime after I got out of Active in 1977 and the Reserves in 1978. I never wore green skivvie shirts until I was in the Air Guard.

    Thanks, Zulu. That's rather definitive.

I was issued White Skivies that had snaps on the front and two ties on each side of them so you could adjust for your particuliar size. Those white skivies really show when they had hash marks. This was in 1953.
