    $HIT bloop,
    Pinch a Loaf,

    10 million more terms

Call it what you will...Our DI's gave a couple head callls through-out the day.
IF my memory serves me correctly,, Most all head calls were for two miniutes.
They didnt give a DAMN if you had to or not.

I heard a DI one time explaining to a recruit, something along the lines of "Sit, push, wipe and get the hell out of the head, fifteen seconds - that's all you need!"

That is pretty close to the way our DI explained it to us 03.... EXCEPT it was get the hell out of MY head.

The first week.... you won't need to dump. You will be amazed how much liquid you will be drinking without having to drain it out as well. You will be doing so much you won't have the energy required to push.

I saw in an earlier response... 30 - 60 minutes? Certainly not while I was at boot. The maximum time for the 3S's was 5 minutes.... if you took longer... you had this big ugly Sgt or SSgt who grabbed you by the neck and kicked your butt out of his head.

Don't sweat the petty sh!t.... pun intended. Focus on your goal of becoming a Marine. All other things will pass....again pun intended!

Don't know if they still do this, but one hour after you hit the rack and one hour before reville, you are not allowed to get up out of your rack.

So, I had firewatch one morning at Edson Range, and in that one hour before reville time frame I hear some noise in the back of the squad bay and see a recruit back there. So...I go back to investigate armed with flashlight and girded up by my web belt, and lo and behold, there's a member of my squad taking a leak on the deck. I flipped my lid, started screaming at him. He said he couldn't go to the head because he couldn't get out of the rack 1 hour before. I escorted him to the head and then sent him back with a swab and helped him clean the mess up.

Sometimes I guess you just gotta go!

During 1st phase I always went to the store and picked up a few jugs of prune juice and recruits who were having trouble with their bowles lined up with their canteen cups for the juice. Once 1st phase was finished they were on their own.
