Hey everybody,
missed morning zephyr this morning as I took the day off from the coffee shop and stayed home to try and fix the hot water heater. Turns out the tank devloped a leak Good news is it's a lifetime warranty and will more than likely be replaced by the manufacturer. It will be at least another day before we know what they'll do so its cold water only 'til then. Hope you all have a good evening!

Robert thanks for sharing the pictures of your family, nice
Had a hard day and now I have to feed all the animals because Karen will be about another hour coming in from Va a day trip about 3 1/2 hours each way. She sure works hard and rushes home to me.

Sounds like the barracks at Iwakuni when the boiler went down in the winter (at least that's what they told us). Have a nice shower!

Kinda looked like the scene from the John Wayne movie "McClintok". Had to call the Boss on the phone instead of the radio (didn't want the whole company to know), and told him I needed to swing by the house and change clothes. Draped my coat over the seat to keep it clean. Stripped down to my skivies on the unheated enclosed back porch. Boss got a good laugh out of it. For me it was just Emmmmbarassssing!!! Told the wife about it when we got home from our jobs. She said, That explains the blue sky's. You must of been cussing a blue streak.

Other than that, the day went pretty good. Had a little sleet this morning, then it cleared up and got to 49. Rest of the week looks good. Mid 50s. You all have a good evening. SF

I take it you didn't bust anything... this is very good...and I'm thankfull for that!! Anyone else gets' sick or hurt around here and the "Little Greek Church" is gonna need a fire dept of it's own once DocGreek gets through lighting candles!!!

Now, could we have a repeat...some of us might have missed it !!! LMAO!!
Look, let's get some'en straight here.. ONLY I can pull dumb stunts like that !!!

For instance... Mothers day 2006... I'm sitten in my chair in the basement... Always used to say "if I get drunk I ain't got far to fall"...Welllllll there I am, STONE SOBER!!! and I took a coughing fit the likes of I never had before!! Passed out, not once, but twice. Second time I went face first out of my chair and face first into the concrete deck. Heard, but didn't feel my nose get busted. They kept me in the hospital 6 days!!! I had "irritated and inflamed lungs". Nose Dr had to wait till Thursday to operate cause they were worried about the lungs and anesthesia. Oh well...
Just glad ya didn't get hurt, dumbbass Marine you....

LOL You talk about cold. The temp was 33 and it was sleeting. I was soaked clear through my thermo skivies. Wallet was wet. Right pocket was full of mud and water. The guy working next to me, once he knew I wasn't hurt, about fell in the mud from laughing so hard. LOL Looking back I musta looked really funny. Working in muddy conditions is part of the job. Always say that if you don't like getting muddy/dirty, wet, and cold in the winter, and muddy/dirty, wet, and sweaty in the summer, Redi-mix is not the job to have. But I love the hell out of it. I get to see most of the new construction in a 4 county area up close. Get to be left on my own like OTR trucking, and get to meet a lot of really neat, down to earth, blood and sweat, hard working men, and women. (And a lot of illegal aliens)

Good evening everyone. Mcvet I worked on a crew where every once in a while something would go terribly wrong. They would make sure I was ok and then when assurred I was they would point and laugh. Now that I know you are ok can I point and laugh? He he.

Keep your chin up Linda! Tell the ole man off if he is twanging on your last nerve.

Hopefully all had a great day!

For once something went right here and the supplier called us back and said we could pick up the new tank tomorrow my friend who is an out of work remodel/handyman type is going to do the pick-up and install since I gotta work. I've used his services before and he is good and trustworthy.

3522- I don't remember having hot water problems at Pendleton even in the old concrete squad bays, I'm sure it happened just don't remember it. The coldest showers I remember were at 29 palms.

.....GOOD NIGHT MARINES, AND DOC'S!!....funny...I remember rain, mud, darkness, and some fool throwing a COUPLE of "chi-coms" at our pos. on a lousy little hill just North (?) of Con Thien...in 69'.
Conditions, back then....have made me want to ALWAYS have my personal enviroment PERFECT!! Does that make ANY sense?? "Living" in those crappy conditions, for a couple of weeks, at a time have made me the "fearless F*ck" that I am.
Times change, but CRAZIES...like me....DON'T!!
Thinking about our Marine, and Doc Brothers in similar circumstances, over in the Sandpit.
Prayers out to all of you in pain, and also out to those Fine, Brave Men who CAN hack it!!!......SEMPER FI....Doc Greek...

Good evening everyone. I enjoyed just reminiscing with Charm in the chat room for a few minutes this evening.

Great to hear that Linda gets to put a smiley face on the calendar for the 4th.

I hope you all had a great day!
