MOS 3112?? Need Advice...

i want to know what you guys think of the MOS 3112 - Traffic Management Specialist…i dont really have much jobs to choose from. i am also on an open contract. this one kind of catches my eye and it seems pretty cool.

Are there any pros/cons to it? will they give this job to a female?

i feel i can benefit from it…thanks in advance for the replys

There are two possibilities. Either you go to Travel, in which case you send troops to places, or you go to TMO/DMO (They move freight) and everyone will hate you.

Just kidding. But seriously, if you end up going to TMO, please don't be the waste of oxygen who takes four-hour lunch breaks and a smoke break every half-hour and then gives people attitude for asking you to do your job. The poor guy who's having to wash his clothes in the sink while the idiot in Freight is playing with himself instead of finding his washing machine will thank you.

Pros:

1. Everyone will want to be your friend. Why? Because they want the hookup to what is traditionally one of the most infuriating shops to deal with.

2. Your job is easy.

3. Cutting scores are so low that Bozo The Orangutan can get promoted to Corporal.

Cons:

1. You work at TMO. You are the object of every married Marine's hatred. Many of your coworkers are wastes of oxygen. You'll see a lot of them get promoted even though the only stripes they should be getting are the skidmarks they leave on the couch every evening. See "Ridiculously Low Cutting Score."

2. Your job is soul-sucking and boring. Are you able to sit there staring at a computer eight hours a day?

3. You'll be part of base personnel. That means that whenever there's a "Volunteer" event, you get ordered to go. So when the Family Readiness Officer decides that she wants to stage a real-life version of Bounce House 2: Revenge of the Bounce House on the parade deck for all the dependents, you are going to be part of the working party that sets up and tears down the bounce houses. Yaaaaay.
