Thank you all for your kind words, I am passing them along to his brother & family!"
Vanessa is very close to his family. Thank you for giving us this update. Any word on when the funeral will be? I have many Marine friends in Georgia who would deem it an honor and a privilege to attend. Please keep us updated Vanessa.

Good evening Marines. I have been in contact with Ray's twin brother (who serves in the Army), his family was notified this afternoon of his passing & he notified me at 1428 CST today. The only info I have found on this explosion is that 4 were killed, from what Ray's brother told me it was Ray +3 other Marines. Again, this is from what he has gathered from what he was told. His brother will be updating me, so I can update all of you.
While I do hope this is somehow a mistake...if it is not, thank you for all your kind words they are being passed along to his family.

I heard something about it on Fox, the only thing I keep my TV on. I never dreamed it could be one of ours, I mean, they are all ours, but one of our kids on here. I was going to post on his profile, but I'm with Kimberly on this one, I have to wait until confirmation.

To best of my knowlege HurricaneRJ is the only member of Leatherneck.com to have given the last full measure of devotion to his Corps and Country in the current war in Afganistan. We have had some members that have been WIA. Ramon was a very active contributor to our forums both before he became a Marine and after. My sincere condolances to his family and my thanks for raising such a fine young man. Its been an honor and a pleasure to have known LCpl Ramon Johnson United States Marine Corps.

I'm numb...I'm numb for those of us who were lucky enough to know him & sad for those who will never get the chance.
I was contacted by his Aunt & am waiting to see if there is an address or e-mail where you can send condolences. Until then, please feel free to send them via e-mail (vdorband87@yahoo.com) to me & I can pass them along.

When I was young I knew some kids. Now I'm old, I don't wanna know any more. Sucks to have a good family and know some Brothers will never.
