Why on Earth do we call the Garrison cover a "p!ss-cutter?"

Stand your girl friend on her head and you will see where it fits.

A soft military cap also referred to as an overseas cap, fore-and-aft cap, or garrison cover. Term is derived from the wearer's head appearing to look like the tip of a penis.
"Formation will be at zero-seven; UOD is Charlies and **** Cutters."

I will put this as delicately as possible so I don't get bilged. We refered to as a C... Cap but I think that has long been disfavored, as it should be.

I have heard it both ways, but my DI's taught me "p!ss-cutter," and most senior enlisted Marines call it that as well. I only ever hear younger Marines call it a "p!ss cover." Doesn't matter either way I suppose...
