There are more important things to worry about during boot camp/recruit training then when you're going to get your dog tags and having to pay for them.
Unbelievable!

I cannot recall ever having my pay docked for a set of dog tags. On a side note I read recently that the military is considering charging you for electicity and water.
They say that in the Marine Corps the pay is mighty fine
They give you a hundred dollars then take back 99
UA I wanna go but they won't let me go ... ho ohh ohh ohm hey.

Good initiative.. Bad judgement.. As other's said.. I wouldn't worry about the placement of dog tags anywhere. Focus on everything else and wait until you check into your unit... Some Marines may give you a hard time if you are running around with a tag in your boot.... Never know..

That post was extremly mind boggling 0161. Was there a question somewhere about the placement of dog tags?? Possibly it was a question of whether or not you have to pay for them.
