With HMH-462 we had the UHS-2.

I'm not familar with the new call-out of the birds.

It had two 9 cyl radial engines that sat on the sides. The front opened up to receive troops or cargo.

I think that everything I flew in is in a museum. But that does'nt mean I'm getting old, does it? LOL

What did you have in HMH-463?

I go all the way back to 1947-1951. Platoon 99 PIRD. Radio School, Oceanside Ca. .....H&S 2/8 with 2 MARDIV.Vieques, Med Cruise in 49, H&S 2/6, 2MARDIV. Getting ready for discharge when Korea raised it's ugly head. H&S 2/7 1MARDIV. Inchon on the 21st of September 1950. Wonsan in November and then the cold Chosin!. Operstion Ripper and then home in March of 51., Transfer to Philadelphia. Had the Main Gate there and then got out.
