Was that the same Vines I knew? Very large, very black, very scary man? Now SGTMAJ? He is a legend. Amazing guy. He would do dips with three 45lb. plates around his waist.

    Old MP

Looked at some posts, to see if there were any from my time. Didn't see too many. Parris Is. 4/52 to 6/52, PI Casual Co. 6/52 to 7/52, Sea School at Portsmouth, Va, 7/52 to 9/52, USS Lake Champlain CVA 39 9/52 to 8/54, GdCO, MpBN, Camp Lejeune, N.C. 9/54 to 3/55.
Like most I had some good duty, some not so good. Sea Duty when it happened was boring, but when I look at it now, I think, WOW. Did I really get to all those places? Port-au-Prince, nasty, Lisbon, wonderful, Sasebo, another nasty, but Hong Kong, now that was fun.
Had the colors detail at Camp Lejeune, in front of Bldg. !. Every morning, we had two generals for an audience, MaJ.Gen Noble, and MaJ. Gen Puller. We were real careful.

    Wish you all well.
    Semper Fi.
