From my diary ~ July 1967

Drunkards by choice
Marines by Profession
and in the same line
There are three things a Marine
must do in his lifetime.
Die, and get drunk.

Words on Helmets
I do remember a lot of peace symbols on the helmets.
One saying I do remember is "We Got to Get Out of this Place"..
popular song...when I was there..
I didn't wear a helmet, I wore my rain hat...
but this pic below I did see on some...
