Heavenly Father:

We thank you for being our God. We thank you for the brave men and women who have answered the call to defend freedom and liberty. We pray for Cpl. Peck and his family. Give them strength to face the day, heal this faithful marine and return him to his family. Father, we pray for all of our service members in the field. We pray for those who are caught in the cross fire between good and evil; the people of Afghanistan and Iraq. Help us defeat our enemies while we strive to win the hearts of those we fight for. Send comfort to those who grieve and suffer loss as a result of these conflicts. Protect those who are in harms way. Give wisdom to our leaders to help them understand what we need to do to end this swiftly and decisively with minimal suffering of the innocent. Crush the hearts of those who fight against us. Father we beseech you now; hear our prayer.

We thank you for the progress Cpl. Peck has made. We pray you will continue to be with the medical staff who are caring for him. Guide their hands; bring success in their efforts. Thank you Father for your love and mercy. Thank you for the comfort of knowing that you are always there in our time of need. We praise you in all things.

John needs prayers...

John now has pneumonia and the surgery for Wednesday was canceled.
John also has low blood pressure and was given 2 pints of blood, 2 pints of plasma. His blood pressure now is not where they want it to be but not at a point where they need to intervene. If all stays well through the night they will take him to surgery on Thursday morning.

John, we are all still praying, you are in our minds everyday.

On this day of the Lord we hold you up, first and foremost, may the Lord place his healing hand on you. In Jesus's name, amen.
