I have a pair of suspenders, with the EGA on them, that I wear frequently, with a baseball type cap. The cap says, 'US MARINE CORPS, Korean war vet.
When I wore just the cap, very few people ever noticed it. When I wear hat and suspenders, people stop me on the street, or in stores, to say "Thank you for serving". It's hard sometimes, to say thank you, in return, because of the lump in my throat, and the tear in my eye, But there really are people out there who appreciate what we did, and would do again if the need arose, even as old and bunged up, as most of us are.
