oh I know a girl
who's oh so sweet
she tips the scale
at a 303
singing hey hey rosie
hey rosie girl
singing hey hey rosie
you rock my world
oh I know a girl
who's oh so fat
when I put my arms around her
I don't know where their at
singing hey hey rosie
hey rosie girl
singing hey hey rosie
you rock my world
so I grab a piece of chalk
and I jump back in
start a lovin and a chalkin
so I know where I've been
singing hey hey rosie
hey rosie girl
singing hey hey rosie
you rock my world

When I see the Army man the Army gonna say
"How you make your money man, how you make your pay?"
I'd reply with a whole lotta anger
Blood and Guts and a little bit of danger
"Beatin' the **** out of an Army Ranger."
When I see the Navy boys the Navy gonna say
"How you make your money boy, how you make your pay?"
I'd reply with a whole lotta anger
"Anchor, Globe, and a flying Eagle
Beatin' the **** out of a Navy Seal."
When I see the Air Force boys the Air Force gonna say
"How you make your money man, how you make your pay?"
My reply will come back snappy
"I do believe that the gym is THAT way
Beatin' the crap out of an Air Force PJ".

I could run to Iraq *pause* Like this
All the way to Iraq *pause* just like this
When I get to Iraq, Iraqis gonna say
"How'd you get to Iraq in just one day?"
I'd reply with a whole lotta anger
"Blood and Guts and a little bit of Danger"
I could run to Vietnam *pause* Like this
All the way to Vietnam *pause* just like this
When I get to Vietnam, the commies gonna say
"How'd you get to Vietnam in just one day?"
I'd reply with a whole lotta anger
"Blood and Guts and a little bit of Danger"
I could run to Belleau Wood *pause* Like this
All the way to Belleau Wood *pause* just like this
When I get to Belleau Wood, the Germans gonna say
"How are the teufelhunden here today?"
I'd reply with a whole lotta anger
"Blood and Guts and a little bit of Danger"
I could run to Kandahar *pause* Like this
All the way to Kandahar *pause* just like this
When I get to Kandahar, Al-Quaida gonna say
"How'd we get our asses kicked in just one day?"
I'd reply with a whole lotta anger
"Blood and Guts and a little bit of Danger"

Up in the mornin with the risin' sun,
we're gonna run all day til the runnin's done.
What we gonna do when we get back?
We gonna take a shower and hit the rack. NO WAY!!!
Sound off! One Two! Sound off! Three Four!
Sound off! One two three four. One Two. Three four!
Navy, Navy don't be blue.
Peter Pan was a fairy too!
Army, Army dressed like me,
But you'll never be USMC!
Sound off...(repeat what is above)
C130 rollin' down the strip.
Kilo Comp'ny gonna take a little trip.
Stand up, buckle up, shuffle to the door.
Jump right out and shout MARINE CORPS!!!
Sound off...(repeat what is above)
If my chute don't open wide,
I've got another one by my side.
If that chute don't open too,
I'll reach the ground before you do.
Sound off...(repeat what is above)
Obviously, this is a double time cadence, usually followed by the PT! PT! Good for you! Good for me!

From the best of my memory, this was a drinking song from Okinawa, sung with extra gusto when throwing a party for someone that was rotating back state-side.
(sung to the caydance of "old ang zine")
May old good times not be forgot
and never ask for more
I've done my time on Okinawa
and now I'm out the Corps
No more vd
no more pt
no more shining brass
So take your eagle, globe and anchor
and shove 'em up your a$$
(there may have been another verse or two, but 30+ years have thinned my memory)

I have 2 0r 3 CDs of cadence. Had them for several years. I think I ordered them from Sgt. Grit. Its a Marine Corps store run by a Marine. He's got everything. The CDs were done by some Company but I don't Remember their name, something like Historic Recordings or Documentary Recording. If Grit doesn't have them post another message and I'll see if I can find mine and give you the name of the Company.
Enter Sgt. Grit in your search engine and it should pop up.

I don't know if anyone has mentioned this one but when running we used to sign the Hymn to the tune of Running Bear. Try it, it fits perfectly.

Don't do it!!!
We had a recruite in Plt.257, who had done a hitch in the Navy, and a hitch in the Army. Our DI, Sgt. Henderson, gave him the pkatoon, to see how he handled men, in Close Order Drill. He started that," You had a good home but..." That was as far as he got. Sgt. Henderson stopped him, and gave him some advice. He said, "Boy, if youever even think of doing that 'Doggie' **** with my people again, get on yous knees and pray. I will grad you by the Stacking Swivel, and turn you every way but loose!!" I don't think the Sgt. liked 'Cadence Lyrics'. S/F!!! Ken

Add on to jwdevildogs cadence..
In her **** she wore a bloody kotex,
she wore it in the springtime and through the merry month of may,
and if you ask her why the f**k she wore it,
she wore it for her young Marine so far, far away....

Cadences
Hi, my name is Dakotah, and I'm a poolee, I leave 20100809. I was wondering if any Marines would happen to either know any great cadences or have a link to a website containing good cadences as we are running short at the PT sessions my SSGT runs at the Recruiting Sub-Station in Leominster, MA. I cannot seem to find any good cadences on the net, and we at the RSS desperately need them lol.Thank you for your time.

Just google USMC running cadences. There are a few sites that have MP3's you can download of different running cadences.

Thank you very much, my friends and I hadn't had the opportunity to get online and to google, but have found several great cadences for runs. Once again, thank you very much.
