    SOI Question from another MOS

    I'm currently a 3051 (I know exciting right?)

I went through MCT Which I heard is the same thing as the first 29 days of SOI. If I move over to the grunt side of the Marine Corps, do I have to go through the first 29 days again?

    Also

I've heard of some Com Marines switch from being Com to Grunt without even going to SOI?! IS this true?

    Thanks in advance.

Good to go corpral ,thanks. Any differences in humps? I heard you have to do a 22 miler? Also, if I do end up getting to SOI, would I have to go back on "student status?"

Yes your on student status they, yes the humps are worst. The 22 miler your talking about was part of our 3 day war i believe it was a 12 mile hump back then O-course twice throught full gear after 3 days of no sleep and humping about 30-50 miles all together.

I'm nto an 03 I am an 06. However wth the friends I have in the Infantry they wouldn't let anyone just become Infantry (It's a more exclusive gun club). The only exception is Recon. I knew people (Third recon) Who are attached to 3rd Recon on Camp Schwab who were pending BRC. Although they still had done SOI.
