On Combat / On Killing
Good Evening Marines,
While I was at Meps a fellow poolie recommended a couple of books to me and I was wondering if any of you have heard of them or read them the books were "On Killing" and "On Combat " by Lt. Col Dave Grossman (with Loren Christensen)
I have read through alot of this sites forums on books to read and never came across these .. good ? bad?
Thanks

Both are Good Books if you are interested in the Psycological part of Death/Combat/Killing.
A Great read is " Why Marines Fight " by James Brady.

"On Killing" was a manditory event for all of us at II MEF before we deployed to Iraq in 2003 for the invasion. They had the author come out and give us a brief as part of our PTP, I even got a autographed copy

Both are superb books. LtCol Grossman knows his stuff. If you are interested in this subject, let me know and I can give you a couple of other equally interesting titles (mostly police related, but they have major crossover utility to the military).
Use of force and the psycho-physiology of use of force was my major research area for many years.
