Hotel Company - Parris Island

Does anyone know what year Hotel (H) Company was moved from 3rd Battalion to 2nd Battalion at Parris Island ? I know it was still a Company of 3rd Battalion in 1984.

Was already a part of 2nd Bn by summer 2007 if I remember correctly.

When I was in 3rd Battalion (MCRD) over thirty years ago, Hotel Co was 2nd Battalion.
1980 = MCRDSD Hotel Co 2nd Battalion
Again when I was herding recruit cattle in 1990, @MCRDPI, Hotel Co = 2nd Battalion

Wherever you go, no matter what it is...

A,B,C,D = 1st Battalion
E,F,G,H = 2nd Battalion
I,K,L,M = 3rd Battalion

(Don't ask about Juliet)

You are wrong, sir. I was in H Company, 3rd Battalion in 1982. Platoon 3002.

I was in 3rd Battalion plt 3039 H Company
graduated 1984 Honor Graduate

A friend of the family is in PI now 3rd Battalion I Company
When I looked at the graduation schedule I noticed H Company is now 2nd Battalion and I was wondering the same thing

When did it change?

I graduated 14 June 1988, Hotel Company, Plt. 3040. Parris Island. Hotel was part of 3rd BN then, I know I was part of it for 3 months.

I don't remember us using platoon letters back in Jan 67, I was just in Platoon 336. All I know is we got the helll knocked out of us every day.

Me too, Russ.....don't remember any certain companies.....just 3rd. Bn. Platoon 3321.

In 1963; I was in 2nd. Battalion; L Company; Platoon 257. I couldn't' tell you what other battalions; companies; or platoons were there. All I knew was mine; and I didn't give a damn who else was there, and I wasn't going to ask.
