I actually liked the Dragon. I was an 0351 from 84-88. I was only an A-Gunner but scored expert on the range. I fired several live rounds and still have the scar from a burn on the thermal battery. I only got use the SMAW once at the range during ITS and never saw it again. At that time my secondary MOS was Demo. And that was a blast literally. Sure the TOW and TOW2 were better but not as portable. Guess all things change tho.

I was an 0351 from 1960 to 1963. A 106 MM Recoilless Rifle. One of the real Bat Men.

Due to budget cuts we never fired a live TOW during our training for 0351 and 0352. About 3 hours per day in a million dollar video machine and about 50 LAAWs total much of out time was spent learning about IED's for upcoming deployment to Beirut.
