Steel Boot Bands
Does anyone know where a former Marine can pick up a pair of steel boot bands?
I'm not in the service anymore, but I used these all the time on my Harley.
The wife didn't know what they were, and she threw them out.
Please save her, and help me locate some new ones.
If someone on here has access to them and can mail them out, quote me a price and I'll send the money your way. PayPal is the safest, but I can entertain other payment methods if I must.

Go to the former Marine website.

@thewookie: Do you have a link?
@Zulu 36: The blog link works, but the link on there to purchase them says, "Sorry, the product was not found." On the Vanguard site, however, I did manage to locate them: http://www.vanguardmil.com/index.php...products_id=22 - maybe someone else can get some use out of the link as well.
Thanks! I'm set.

Maybe Sgt. Grit can help you out, Semper Fidelis.

No, no. As you were, Marine. I was able to use Zulu's link to further research and locate those boot bands:
Steel Boot Bands @ $1.55 each (can't beat that price, either)
While I was there, I also picked up a new web belt and a pack. Super!
Carry on, Devil Dogs!

What are you using the boot bands for?

It said it in the first post, he uses them to blouse his trousers when he rides his bike.

Saigon Sams sells them
I think the PX on Lejeune here may still sell them
If you want I may have a old pair sitting in a box at the house, can check when I get off work, free of course. I was never a fan of the metal bands

I certainly appreciate the offer, Devil Dog, but I found them online using the first reply on here for $1.55 at this place called Vanguardmill.com.

$1.55? I think that's less than what I pay for them on base.

Vanguard is a manufacturer, they sell metal chevrons too which were always my favorite brand. $1.55 not bad at all

A little off-topic, but does anyone know if the chevrons from Vanguard are the thicker type? I usually order my stuff from the Navy Exchange online, but last time I ordered chevrons they sent me the smaller, skinny ones. I much prefer the thicker ones.
Any ideas?
